Breach Affected 100 Million Bank Customers
Spector Roseman & Kodroff has filed a class action lawsuit against Capital One on behalf of consumers whose Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, and other personal information were compromised in a data breach. While the data breach–affecting over 100 million customers nationwide–occurred in March 2019, it was not made public until July 2019.
SRK alleges that Capital One failed to take reasonable measures to protect the personal and financial information of its customers. The complaint alleges negligence and breach of contract claims for a nationwide class of consumers and violations of the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act for a sub-class of Connecticut consumers. Similar cases continue to be filed in courts across the country. For additional information, please contact Diana Zinser at 215-496-0300 or email@example.com .
